DALL·E is an artificial intelligence model developed by OpenAI that generates images from textual descriptions. By enabling this plugin or extension in Impact Designer Admin, users can create images from their own text prompts and customize products accordingly. This allows for greater creativity and personalization in product design.
Follow the steps below to set up and enable this feature.
Prerequisite
Before enabling this plugin, make sure you have your API keys. To generate the key, follow the steps below:
- Go to the OpenAI website and log in to the API page using this link: OpenAI API
- In the right-side menu bar, click “API Keys” and create a new API key.
To Integrate DALL·E
Step 1: Open Impact Designer Admin and click “Global Settings” from the navigation panel.
Step 2: Click the “Integration” tab on the right.
Step 3: Scroll down to find AI Image Generator and click the “Set Up” button.
Step 4: The AI Image Generator page will appear. Based on the pricing module selected when generating your API key, choose DALL·E 2 or DALL·E 3. Fill in the required input fields and click “Save.”
Input Fields:
- API Key – The key generated from the OpenAI website.
- Number of Images to Be Generated per Prompt – Set how many images should be generated from each text input.
- Image Size – Select the image resolution from the available options. The image will be generated based on your selection.
- Allow Maximum Number of Tries per User – Set a limit for how many image generation attempts each user can make.
- Select Print Methods – Assign one or more print methods. Customers can use this feature if their selected product includes a supported print method.
► Admins can manually set the allowed attempts or enable unlimited attempts by checking the “Unlimited” checkbox.
