Example:
How will the tool calculate the cost based on the price configuration?

Total Print Area: 2
Total Number of Colors: 6
Price for Full Color: $10
Hypothetical Question 1:
For an order placed for 1 T-Shirt priced at $11.99 each, having 6 colors designed on one side so what will be the final price of the product?
Answer:
Order Quantity = 1
Number of customized sides = 1
As the design is added only in the first print area so it will take the price from the tab 1st Print area.
And the total number of colors used in the design is 6 colors, then it will take the price from the 6 colors, i.e., $3
So, the Quantity tier price = $3.
Decoration Cost = Quantity tier price × Order Quantity
= $3 × 1
= $3
Price shown to the customer:
Product Price + Decoration Price
= ($11.99 × Order Quantity) + $3
= ($11.99 × 1) + $3
= $11.99 + $3
= $14.99
So, the final price of the product will be $14.99
Hypothetical Question 2:
An order is placed for 40 T-shirts priced at $11.99 each, and a design is added on 2 sides of the product. On the first side, 6 color design is added, and on the second side, 2 color design is added, so what will be the final price of the product?
Answer:
Order Quantity = 40
Number of customized sides = 2
► The design is added on both sides of the product. For the design added on the first side, the calculation will be done from the tab 1st Print area, and for the design added on the second side, the calculation will be done from the tab 2nd Print area.
For the 1st print area: On the first side of the product, the total number of colors used in the design is 6 colors. So, it will take the price from row 6 color, i.e., $3
For the 2nd print area: On the second side of the product, the total number of colors used in the design is 2 colors. So, it will take the price from row 2 color, i.e., $6.75
Now, we will add both the prices that we get from the 1st Print area and the 2nd Print area
So, Quantity tier price = 1st Print Area + 2nd Print area
= $3 + $6.75
=$9.75
Now, Decoration price = Quantity tier price x Order Quantity
= $9.75 x 40
= $390
The price will be shown to the customer:
Product Price + Decoration Price
= ($11.99 x Order Quantity) + $390
= ($11.99 x 40) + $390
= $479.60 + $390
= $869.60
So, the final price will be $869.60
Hypothetical Question 3:
► When the number of colors used in the design exceeds the color which is allowed by the admin, then the price will be calculated from the bottom row, i.e, Full Color.
For an order placed for 20 T-shirts priced at $11.99 each with the design on 2 sides, which has more than 6 colors on each side so what will be the final price of the product?
Order Quantity = 20
Number of customized sides = 2
► The design is added to both sides of the product. For the design added on the first side, the calculation will be done from the tab 1st Print area, and for the design added on the second side, the calculation will be from the tab 2nd Print area.
For the 1st print area: The total number of colors used in the design is 7 colors. So, it will take the price from the Full-color row, i.e., $10.
For the 2nd print area: The total number of colors used in the design is 8 colors. So, it will take the price from the Full-color row, i.e., $7.
Now, we will add both the prices that we get from the 1st Print area and the 2nd Print area
So, Quantity tier price = 1st Print Area + 2nd Print area
= $10 + $7
=$17
Now, Decoration Cost = Quantity tier price x Order Quantity
= $17 x 20
= $340
The price will be shown to the customer:
Product price + Decoration price
= ($11.99 x 20) + $340
= $239.80 + $340
= $579.80
So, the final price of the product will be $579.80.
